All,
I just wanted to give you a much needed update on Meet the Masters. The reason for the delay is that my computer has been taken by some sort of scam that is beyond my ability to repair. Sorry!

I am finalizing the lesson plan and will send it to you via email by Wednesday. It will incorporate three items:
- Artist background and a copy (not print) of the artist's work
- Worksheet for students to do
- Art activity information

The teacher will receive the materials:

-the worksheets
-the art activity materials

The volunteer/ instructor will have the ability to decide if they'd like to do the worksheets. I would recommend doing them. It will make the projects easier to understand. Yes, this will take away from your activity time, yet it will ensure that the students understand the concept.

I will be distributing these materials in the coming two weeks. The first of our activities is on February 9th. The materials will be present in the class room by then (Nelly).

In our training we had mention of DVDs that would show a volunteer how to make the project. This DVD isn't available for Escher but seems to be available for the other artists. The instructions on the Escher project are understandable to me- apparently you can teach a dog new tricks!

You can check out the blog for additional updates. http://meetthemasters.blogspot.com/

Thanks for your patience with me.

Until Wednesday.

Best regards,

Doug Minnick
